This leadershipposition will be responsible for executing the Cardiac & Vascular Group(CVG) Clinical strategy at a small number of Strategic Clinical accounts(Centers for Research Innovation, or CRI). This person will driveexecution of each of the active trials across the Cardiac & Vascularportfolio at their sites and will be responsible for achieving both site specificand study specific objectives. This field-based role will serve as the primaryhub of communication relating to clinical research between Medtronic and thesite. In addition, this person will develop therapy knowledge acrossthe Cardiac & Vascular Group portfolio, including, but not limited to,coronary stents, transcatheter and surgical valves, atrial fibrillationablation techniques, aortic stent grafts, peripheral disease therapies,ventricular assist devices, and cardiac rhythm devices.
In addition, this rolewill execute a strategy to further develop Clinical Pathways and Protocols andValue Based Healthcare (VBHC) Initiatives related to the CVGportfolio. This may include influencing VBHC based study design,evidence generation, pathways education, improving on care pathwayinefficiencies using Lean Sigma, and supporting publications and evidencedissemination.
This position willreport to the CVG Field Clinical Manager and will require collaboration withthe Director of CVG Clinical, the Clinical Vice Presidents of each of the CVGBusiness Units, the Regional Vice President of Sales, and District SalesLeaders.
A Day in the Life
This position will have highvisibility within the organization as they will be required to interact witheach of the CVG Clinical Divisions, in order to effectively drive clinicalexecution and utilization of Clinical Pathways and VBHC initiatives at the CRIsites.
Responsibilities may include thefollowing and other duties may be assigned.
Partner with CRI sites in achieving CRI objectives and clinical trial execution, with a focus on speed to execute clinical trials and the generation of high quality data
Provide feedback to Medtronic Clinical leadership regarding site nominations, key opinion leader recommendations, and physician or coordinator committees
Perform site qualification, initiation, enrollment acceleration, and data quality improvement activities as outlined by the study teams.
Develop strong relationship with CRI sites and have a deep understanding of CRI site goals, personnel, processes, and capabilities
Strategic account management by partnering with key site personnel to drive continuous improvement across all aspects of clinical trial execution
Provide support to Study Teams throughout Clinical Trial lifecycle, including driving site engagement, troubleshooting, and escalation
Serve as a key influencer for cross-SBU and CRI site engagement according to the agreed CVG CRI governance structure.
Provides field support for various clinical research studies by selecting sites, performing activation duties, setting up protocols, providing training, helping to enroll participants, ensuring quality data acquisition and performing study closure activities.
Responsible for gaining and maintaining knowledge of clinical sites in a given geographic area to best understand and assess investigators' interests and capabilities.
Provides continuous communication to in-house clinical trial leaders regarding the status and performance of multiple studies.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience in clinical/clinical research (i.e., clinical account management, clinical trial management, clinical analytics, clinical field support, clinical quality outcomes management) or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical/clinical research as listed above.
Nice to Have
Experience in the medical device industry
Industry field experience working directly with customers/partners in a healthcare environment (i.e. physicians, hospital administration, clinical research)
Prior experience in the cardiac and vascular therapy space
Proven ability to lead, to collaborate and to operate in a matrix organization and to work effectively with internal and external customers across geographic and organization boundaries.
Results oriented, experience setting and consistently achieving objectives
Demonstrates a sense of urgency and willingness to make tough decisions in short time frame.
Ability to anticipate and to analyze risks and make strategic choices to balance current and long-term business opportunities
Prior experience in managing clinical trials
Program management experience
Knowledge of Value Based Healthcare and experience in working with sites to optimize clinical pathway efficiencies
Solid understanding of US health care delivery system and key providers/players involved across the cardiac care continuum
Advanced degree including Masters in technical or Clinical field, or MBA
Prior Sales or Account Management Experience
Has demonstrated independently managing a territory
Demonstrated ability to effectively and persuasively communicate verbally and in writing; ability to actively promote the timely and candid exchange of information and viewpoints; demonstrated active listening skills.
Ability to learn quickly, with a recurring desire to acquire new skills and techniques

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
